Re: Curt Bentzin "Primarflex" Demontage, Wartung und Reparatur.
cabba:I set the upper wheel so the scratches lined up, then tensioned C1 as well. Now the cams are like in your position, but the tensioning wheel doesn't completely line up with the little arm that is supposed to lock on the mirror. Should I try again and get the cams & that little arm lined up at the same time?
I supposed already that these four (!) scratches on your gears might be the markings for reassembly.
The "little arm" does not lock on the mirror (The mirror is locked on by a long arm (Yellow arrow) inside of the box). It's the other way round: as I told you already, the mirror pushes up this arm and hence releases the gear (C1).
What about the odd spiral spring at the top of your image: is this the spring (of a pen) that you built in? Normally, the spring looks different and points in the opposite direction (Green circle).
Concerning this camera you may not expect that everything works fine after one or two attempts. The Bentzin Primarflex has a life of its own! You need to be very patient!

Turns out, there is a lot of scratches. After a night's sleep, I looked at my disassembly pictures again. I usually take lots and lots of pictures, and videos if possible. Just general views from every angle, one never knows what information could become handy. In this picture that has that area show, I can see it is a completely different set of scratches that I need to line up:
As can be seen from the cut outs under the shutter speed selector, the first curtain timing wheel is in a completely different position than what I have now. So back to the workbench (kitchen table).

Yes, of course. Long day and exhausted

It is a bit temperamental, but I think me and Primarflex will still be friends after this.
Re: Curt Bentzin "Primarflex" Demontage, Wartung und Reparatur.
I think the gearwheels need to be disassembled and reassembled once again displaced by one (or two?) tooth until the cam of the gearwheel fits into the hole of the "little arm".
When that point has been reached, you have to turn the winding button until the very end. Otherwise the release button remains blocked.
"Best friends": I hope so.
For my part it's a kind of love-hate relationship.
